What is Podcasting?

Podcasting is an exciting new media format for getting your audio or video presentation out to a worldwide audience. It’s like having your own syndicated radio show on the internet! Listeners can subscribe to your podcast for free, and will then automatically receive any future podcasts you publish when they open their podcast player (i.e. iTunes, Yahoo, AOL, etc.)

How long does a podcast have to be?

Unlike radio, podcasts can be produced to virtually any length (i.e. 5 minutes, 1/2 hr, 1hr, etc.) or frequency (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, etc).

Should I have a podcast?

Podcasts are especially effective for educators, authors, musicians, executive and life coaches, workshop leaders, public speakers, churches, and pretty much anyone who has something to say! Although podcasts are generally offered for free, they are an excellent way to build an audience, keep your audience connected to your work, establish and develop your brand identity, and increase revenue by driving customers back to you and your products and/or services.
